Principal Message
Greetings, Ride Families!
Highlighted House members for Inclusion. At the conclusion of each month (and the character trait for that month), each classroom votes on a student who best portrayed and represented the character trait for that month. January Character Trait was Inclusion.
February Character Trait is Integrity. Integrity in elementary school is introduced as having the strength to do what’s is right, make good choices, being kind, and helpful. We discuss this every morning on the announcements and give examples, and the teachers review it in their morning meetings as well.
Tomorrow is Elementary Science Fair at College Park High School from 10:00-4:00pm. It used to be held at the Lone Star Convention Center which was quite a drive. Having it so close to our community, I hope you have a chance to take your kids to it. There is so much to see and do. Every school in the community will have kids sharing science experiments and your kids get to participate in each one.
We are also having our own Ride Math/Science Night at Ride on February 22, from 5:00-6:30pm. It is a come and go event where every classroom will have different experiments and math activities for you to have fun with. Please note the playground will be closed during this event.
The next two weeks are short weeks with only 4 days in each week. These are the weeks that we tell the kids that we have to focus extra hard since we only get to come to school 4 days this week. We will have a simple Valentine’s exchange for the classes on Tuesday, February 14th. We hope you have a wonderful time celebrating Valentine's Day with your loved ones.
Have a great weekend,
Sincerely,
Megan Burnham

Each slot is available for two adults and the child you are eating lunch with..
