Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-- We finished off another busy week here at Ridgeline!
Yesterday we held our annual “Club Fair” event for students in the main gym. This was our best fair yet as clubs hosted hands-on activities, games, and other challenges to win prizes and candy. Candy always wins people over! Many students who weren’t familiar with what we offer finally got a chance to see and talk with members of each club. There’s something for everyone at the club fair. I learned I’m rusty on my world countries when I was asked to name 5 that start with the letter A…got them with a few hints. This challenge was sponsored by the Diversity Club.
Our Unified soccer team hosted a tournament with CV, UHigh, and Rogers in attendance. It was a kick! (see our team pic here).
Some informational items: Halloween, Tuesday Oct. 31. We DO ALLOW costumes on this day. Limitations include anything that could be considered a safety issue or in violations of school rules or in poor taste. Please keep an eye on your student if they plan to dress up that day.
With the Holiday’s ahead of us we usually see an increase in absences due to family travel. Please have your child talk with their teachers well in ADVANCE of a planned absence. Keep in mind, some work may be available in advance, but often not all can be provided as teachers adjust their lessons based on student needs and progress. Be prepared to have some school work to make-up upon returning to classes.
Senior photos are due Oct. 30

Subject: Closed Campus Policy & Student Check-Out During Lunch
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this message finds you well. We want to take a moment to address our school's closed campus policy and the importance of limiting student check-outs during lunch times.
At CVSD, we have a longstanding board policy that maintains a closed campus during lunchtime. This policy is in place to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. Keeping our campus closed during lunch helps us monitor and manage the flow of students, maintain a secure environment, and minimize disruptions during the school day.
We understand that there may be occasions when you need to check your child out of school during lunch periods. In such cases, we are more than willing to accommodate these special circumstances. If your child has an appointment or a legitimate reason to leave campus during lunch, we ask that you call in advance to complete the checkout process for students. This will help expedite the process of your student checking out during lunch time which is also a very busy time for our office staff.
While we strive to accommodate your needs, we kindly request that parents refrain from checking students out during their lunchtime without a legitimate reason. This helps us maintain a secure and orderly campus environment.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in upholding our closed campus policy. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy or need to discuss specific circumstances, please don't hesitate to reach out to our school administration.
Thank you for your continued support in creating a safe and productive learning environment for all our students.
Sincerely,
Ridgeline High School Administration

Veterans Day Honor Wall
2023 Ridgeline HS Veterans Honor Wall
We would like to honor the veterans in your family during Veterans Day next month. We have a few questions and you can upload a photograph of your family members and closest friends who have served. These vets will be honored during the assembly and throughout the week on our video screens in the Commons.
You can only fill out one form, but each form can accept up to 5 veterans. We are requesting students and staff to fill out information for one veteran, but you can add up to four more if you have a lot of service history in your immediate family.
Photographs in uniform are wonderful, but it is not required that uploaded photos are of someone in their uniform. Please complete submissions by Thursday, November 2nd so we can include your honorees in the assembly the following week. Thank you for helping us honor those who you are close to. Veterans Day is an important day to celebrate our service men and women.
