A NOTE FROM MS. WELLS
What a blessing to have the beauty of this day! I admit I enjoy Spring, flowers and trees blooming, birds chirping and children able to have outside recess! Please join me in thanking God for all the beauty in our world.
We have made it to the fourth quarter of the year. Today you will receive your student’s report card. Please spend some time noting any progress they have made or perhaps set a goal for this last quarter. We will be using third quarter math and reading grades as well as the reading inventory scores to determine which students qualify for summer tutoring.
Kindness - is a value that we are stressing during the fourth quarter. We will spend some time talking about what kindness looks like, sounds like and feels like. I would like to plan a “Kindness Day” for the whole school, if you have any suggestions, please pass them along to me.
Expectations - as the end of the year draws closer, some schools notice an increase in behavior issues and students sometimes feel a lack of motivation to complete work as assigned. Please note that we will be teaching and learning and holding high expectations for behavior and academics all the way through to the end of the year.

PREVENT and PROTECT
For all those wanting to attend field trips this year or volunteer in the school, you must register with the Archdiocese Prevent & Protect program. This process includes a background check, Protecting God’s Children Workshop (1 time attendance), & 3 training modules. Please log on to preventandprotectstl.org to register. All these components must be complete for you to attend field trips or volunteer at school.
If you have not taken Protecting God’s Children workshop I will be hosting one on March 24, 6:30pm in the St. Ann Church Basement. Look for this date when you register at the above link. If you have previously taken the PGC workshop you still need to register at the link above for a background check and training modules.
If you have started the registration process but unsure of completion, you just have to login and click the “My Training” button. This will let you know your status.
