Weekly Message
Dear Raleigh Hills Community,
As this remarkable year is winding down, I want to acknowledge the grief and pain that has been with our community in the past week. Grief for the tragic death of Mr. George Floyd and the pain of what has occurred in cities across our country since then. We know that we have work to do to grow into an even more inclusive community where all feel welcomed, valued and safe. I look forward to continuing the work that we have begun this school year. I was able to engage in some thoughtful conversations with staff and students this week about what it means to be an ally. In the weeks and months ahead, we will commit to keeping these conversations going so that we can emerge from the hardships of this year bonded even more strongly as a community.
Be safe and well this weekend. We look forward to seeing you to wave goodbye for the year on Thursday.
Warm regards,
Jennifer

End of Year Celebration
Immediately following the 8th grade send off. Staff will be positioned on Scholls Ferry Road from 10-11am. We'll cheer for you as you drive by and say goodbye to staff and the school. We won't pull into the parking lot at all during that time to avoid traffic jams on Scholls Ferry.
We are looking forward to seeing you to wave goodbye and respect the social distancing rules.

If you prefer a paper packet, those can be picked up at the school outside the main office door on Tuesdays from 10-12. There will also be a bin there to turn in completed packets.

Donate to BSD Community Resources Fund
The Beaverton School District is now accepting donations from the greater Beaverton community to support community-wide efforts to provide food boxes, toiletries and other essential items to our families during this emergency situation. Food Banks are working hard to remain stocked to feed communities. There are many Beaverton families who struggle economically even in the best of times, and this fund will enable the Beaverton School District to work with community partners to serve our families. We use this fund to triple the buying power and thus increase the amount of families we can serve, a number that increases daily. Pass this on to friends and neighbors (we can also honor matching dollars!)
