WILDER FAMILY NIGHT @ SPRINGFIELD CARDINALS
You are invited to Wilder's Family Night at the Springfield Cardinals. Each student will receive two FREE tickets to the 1:05 PM game on Sunday, May 19 at Hammons Field. We will distribute tickets to students on Friday, May 17 at the very end of the day.
FAQs:
- Can families purchase additional tickets? Yes! For those interested in purchasing additional tickets to a game, the Cardinals will be offering a group discount, which is $2 off the regular ticket price. PLEASE call the box office at (417) 863-2143 to purchase your tickets. When calling, identify which school you’re with so box office staff can do their best to get your seats close to your group (seats together cannot be guaranteed).
- Will there be any discounts or specials for concessions? No. However, the Cardinals have weekly promotions which include: $2 Hot Dogs and Bratwursts on Tuesday nights and free ice cream sandwiches before the games on Sundays.
- Is there free parking? Free parking can be found along Walnut Street or at OTC. The lot across the street from the stadium has $10 parking. There is parking available at Price Cutter for a $5 donation that will go to a local charity.
Cardinals standard rain policies are as follows:
- If the game is POSTPONED to another date or CANCELED, the tickets are exchangeable for any other game the rest of this season. For the SPS groups, this means leaving it up to each individual family which game they want to exchange their tickets for during the season. The ticket from the rain date itself must be presented at the box office to exchange for a new ticket. They will not be issued a new ticket without a ticket to exchange.
- If the game is simply DELAYED, meaning the Cardinals play the game on the date it was scheduled, but it starts later than planned – this is essentially a normal game. If a fan has a ticket and the game is played, but the fan does not attend, there is no option to exchange for a new ticket for a different date.
- The best place to check for updates will be the Cardinals Facebook page and website.
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL & FINAL WALK INFO
The last day of school for the 23/24 school year is Friday, May 23. We will dismiss at 2:20 (our regular dismissal time).
The 5th grade final walk will take place beforehand at 1:50. Parents/guardians are invited to participate in this event and will be let in to the building no earlier than 1:45. Parents will be able to check out your child after this event rather than participate in regular dismissal procedures.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
One question we typically get is the difference between a visitor and a volunteer.
- VOLUNTEERS are adults who assist teachers, administrators, or other staff in public school classrooms, schools, or school district programs who do not receive compensation for their work.
- A VISITOR is a parent, relative, or other adult with permission of the child's parent or guardian who visits the school for a specific event or reason, or attends an off-campus school-sponsored event. There is no reasonable expectation that a visitor would be alone with a child other than their own.
Returning volunteers: A volunteer form is required to be filled out each school year. Background checks must only be completed every 7 years as they are only valid for 6 years.
