Happy Thursday Raptor Families,
It was wonderful to connect with so many of you this week at Parent Teacher Conferences. As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow on February 16th, and Monday, February 19th.
There are many opportunities to engage at Thunder Valley this next week.
As a reminder, AAA is back next week on Tuesday, the 20th, and Wednesday, the 21st.
Class and individual pictures are on Wednesday, the 21st. Please see the information below. Order forms have already been sent home with students.
There is a wrestling meet at Longs Peak MS on Wednesday, the 21st starting at 3:30 pm.
We have a middle school Band Concert on Wednesday, the 21st starting at 6:00pm in the auditorium. Please enter through door number two.
We are hosting our 8th - 9th Grade Transition Night on Thursday, the 22nd at 6:00 pm. Please join us for information about the transition to high school and success tips.
Our school fundraiser starts on February 20th, and runs through the 29th. Please see details below.

After School Supervision
If your students are staying outside the building on school grounds after school hours they must have adult supervision.
Late Starts for the School Year:
March 6th, April 3rd, May 1st
School starts at 11:05am, the earliest students can be dropped off is 10:50am. Buses pick up 2.5 hours later than their normal pick up time.

Spring Picture Day- February 21, 2024
Mid Year iPad Insurance
If you didn't opt- in to iPad insurance in the beginning of the school year, you can still do so for the second half of the year. The cost is $12.50. Have your student see Mr. Elwood. Payment can be made in the office with cash or check or online through Infinite Campus after your student has checked in with Mr. Elwood.
Book Fair!
It was great seeing all of our students and families at the Book Fair this week! Thanks so much for visiting and supporting your student's reading and our school library!

6th-8th Grade Soccer Registration
6th- 8th Grade Soccer Registration is open through the City of Longmont. Practices will be Monday-Thursday 3:45-5:15 and will start March 4th. Games will start the week of March 25th. Please see the attached flyer for more details and information on how to register your student.

Frederick High School Percussion Ensemble is hosting the Rocky Mountain Percussion Association's 1st 2024 Season Competition, Saturday, February 10th. Please see below photo for more information!
Celebrate your child’s birthday by joining the Birthday Book Club and donating a book to the school library in their name! Each child who participates will have their name inscribed on a bookplate on the front endpaper of the donated book. We will take a picture of the birthday child holding their donated book and they will get the first chance to check it out.

Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is filling up. Please make sure to have your students check it for any lost jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes or water bottles. Anything remaining after 2/15 will be donated.
5210+ Healthy Kids Challenge
The Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge is a FREE month- long program during February where students, school staff and families learn to practice the 5210+ healthy habits every day. Please see the attached flyer for more details.
