Back-to-School Fair
Lewisville ISD’s Back-to-School Fair is an annual event that provides more than 6,000 students in need with free backpacks, supplies and resources to start the school year. This year, the fair is set for Saturday, Aug. 5 at Lewisville High School (1098 W. Main Street, Lewisville). For every $25 raised, a student in need will get a backpack filled with supplies to start the new school year.

One Vision Task Force Progress Update
This spring, Lewisville ISD sought individuals interested in participating in the One Vision Task Force, a group of stakeholders who represent a diverse group of LISD constituents charged with developing a plan and potential bond package that can be recommended to the LISD Board of Trustees for consideration.
In the first three meetings, the One Vision Task Force has learned about school finance, technology usage, construction costs, safety and security measures and more. Visit LISD.net/OneVision to hear from the task force members, read meeting recaps and more.

Hebron 9 Business Students Learn To Invest in Their Future
It’s never too early to learn about finances and the stock market. So, if you’re looking to invest, look no further than investing in the future of the students in Ms. Donisia Forrester’s business class at Hebron 9th Grade Campus. In Forrester’s class, students learn about business, economics, accounting, and marketing. She wants to teach her students how to budget and save money responsibly at an early age to prepare them for their futures. READ MORE
Arbor Creek Makes Learning Fun With Inaugural Mental Health and Wellness Week
Arbor Creek Middle School is always looking for fun and creative ways to learn and last week was no different. Campus staff and Arbor Creek’s PTA hosted its inaugural Mental Health and Wellness Week for students with a variety of daily activities inside and outside the classroom that focuses on students’ wellness and mental health. Creek Valley Student Featured In Local Art Show
8th grade student Ann Nguyen was featured in the LISD Student Art Show that took place at the Lewisville Grand Theater. “I get to express my emotions and show the community how I feel and art expresses more than anything," she said of her work. "You may not be able to see what they’re feeling on a person, but you can see it in their artwork.” READ MORE
"The Voice" Contestant Visits Former Middle School
For Killian MS students, a typical school day turned into a concert when a very special guest visited their campus earlier this week. The guest was none other than Kylee Dayne, a former LISD student who is a contestant on this season of "The Voice". Kylee took a break from her busy rehearsal schedule to visit her former middle school and speak with Mustang students. READ MORE
Castle Hills Students Recognized at Distinguished Young Writers Ceremony

Coyote Ridge Students and Staff Recognized by the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce
At their April luncheon the Lewisville Chamber of Commerce named Samantha Ballinger as their Teacher of the Month and students Kayla Leandro D’Oliveira Levi Vaquera as their Students of the Month. READ MORE

Literacy Night at HVE
The HHS National English Honor Society, Carrollton Public Library and the HVE PTA worked together to plan a Literacy Night for students and families. Thanks to The Creature Teacher, some four-legged guests also stopped by! SEE PHOTOS
Graduation Walk at Homestead Elementary

Memorial Students Compete in First District-Wide Robotics Competition
Memorial ES 4th and 5th graders competed against students from the other STEM Academies in the district, in a competition to design their own robot with the LEGO Spike Prime set. READ MORE
Polser Continues Commitment to STEM
Polser Elementary earned a National STEM Recertification earlier this spring and were recognized at the May board meeting.
