A Note from Chelsea and Lisa
It's National CTE Month! What future are you helping students design? Each February, we highlight and celebrate the great things that are happening in our schools and the amazing opportunities students have to investigate, explore, train, and advance the careers that interest them. We know that students who are engaged in learning that is tied to relevant real-world work that interests them will be more engaged, more successful, and more likely to be employed in the career of their choice.
The work you do to provide CTE opportunities for students is life-changing! Our world needs adults who are work-ready, highly skilled, and professional to make our communities strong. We recognize that you are the avenue for this. In this month of February, we want to raise up not only CTE but also the people who are CTE — the ones making a difference every day in the lives of students. We thank you for all you do for students and our communities!
With sincere appreciation,
Chelsea and Lisa

Helpful Information Straight from TEA!
Military credit is back for CCMR
What is the timeline and how do we report?
We asked TEA!
“Districts will submit the completed DD Form 4 via a secure upload process.”
Where does this secure upload process take place?
This process is going to be very similar to the current CCMR Verification system, whereby you would upload a PDF copy of the form into TEAL. This military enlistment verification system will exist outside of PEIMS. Similar to the CCMR Verifier, we’ll provide a simple user guide and YouTube video walkthrough of the upload process. We’ll have additional information on this early next spring.
“The submission window for 2023 annual graduates will occur in spring 2024. The submission window for 2024 annual graduates will occur in spring 2025, and so forth…”
What is the “cut-off” date for this data?
The CCMR OB rule adoption established the deadline for enlistment in the military by December 31, immediately following graduation.
Example: Student graduates May 2023 and must enlist by December 31, 2023. The district must upload documentation in the spring of 2024.
What’s New in Performance Reporting
A–F Accountability
The agency has released cut scores and scaling resources for campuses registered for and evaluated under alternative education accountability (AEA) provisions. AEA cut scores and scaling resources for the 2023 A–F refresh are available on the 2023 Accountability Development webpage, including the Preliminary 2023 A–F Refresh Cut Scores and Scaling Resources document, which provides baseline data sources as well as 2023 scaled score lookup tables for domain and domain component scores.
This Week’s FAQ
Why does the Highly Mobile student group not also include military-connected students?
The statewide average baseline data for military-connected students are about twice as high as the baseline for the other High Focus student groups. Including military-connected data would have affected targets by making them higher. As rates of military-connected students may vary widely from district to district, excluding this data produced targets that are fair yet rigorous for all districts.

INTERACTIVE DATA MAP
Fiscal Year 2022 data has officially been added to the interactive Apprentices by State map! OA launched an interactive Apprentices by State map during NAW 2022. It was an instant hit with the apprenticeship system and marked the first public product that OA rolled out as part of its Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) initiative. The Apprentices by State map will be the first of many EDP products created for staff and the public, and it will continue to modernize how we share and analyze our data. LEARN MORE
