Fundraising for our Mustang Stampede 2022 kicked off on Monday! Have you registered yet?
This year, our entire school is raising funds for technology, classroom supplies, after school enrichment programs, and social/community events. Our goal is to raise $15,000, and, if you’d like to, we would love you to help!
Here’s how you can support Murwood Elementary:
2. Share about our fundraiser with your family and friends using the SHARE BUTTON on mybooster.com.
3. Give a donation, if you are able.
Thank you for supporting our school!. We can’t wait for the Mustang Stampede Fun Ruan happening on November 8th during the school day.
Principal's Message
It has been a very busy two weeks for us here. Thank you to everyone for making our Halloween parade a successful and fun event. Our students' creativity truly shined at the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. It was a wonderful sight of the many ways to reimagine a jack-o-lantern. Thank you to everyone who planned, volunteered and participated in our annual PTA Fall Festival. What a great Saturday filled with fun activities, great eats and community connection.
Street Smarts Assembly
Today our students participated in the Street Smarts Assembly where they learned about
traffic safety such as:
- Traffic signals and street signs
- Crossing basics
- Helmets and basic bike safety
- Rules of the Road for biking
- Eye contact and avoiding distractions
- Crosswalks vs. J-walking
Our TK-2nd graders even had a visit from Mr. Beeps, the automated car buddy who helps children learn about traffic safety.
Soul Shoppe
Tomorrow we will kick off our character education sessions with Soul Shoppe. Our TK-2nd graders will focus on four essential communication and problem-solving skills that students can use in their everyday lives, whether they’re in the classroom, on the playground, or at home.
our 3rd-5th graders program will focus on helping build your students' self-esteem so they can show more empathy and tolerance toward people with ideas, appearances, likes, and dislikes different from their own. Thank you to our PTA for making this possible each year.
I am very grateful for the wonderful community support that we have here at Murwood. Our students are enjoying their elementary experience because of the wonderful work of our teachers and staff and the support of our amazing parent community.
Happy Dia de los Muertos to our families that are celebrating.

Notes From The Office
First Grade Physicals are due by November 8th.
As required by the State of California, each student entering first grade must provide to the school a certificate documenting that the student has received a health examination within 90 days of the start of school. If a health examination was recently obtained for your child, please email me the completed and signed report. Children who received a health screening examination at any time 18 months prior to first grade fulfills the exam requirement
