The Central Bucks iPad and Laptop fee is now due.

Parents of students in 3rd - 6th grade are asked to pay a $15 fee via MyPaymentsPlus. If you cannot afford the fee for personal reasons, please contact Mr. Ortman at sortman@cbsd.org. We will be happy to make other arrangements.

If you are choosing to opt out of the program. Then, your child's device will remain in school and he/she may have access to the laptop during the school day, only.

The state of Pennsylvania requires students in certain grades to have health exams.

• Kindergarten and New students: Dental and Physical Exams
• Grades 3 and 7: Dental Exam
• Grades 6 and 11: Physical Exam

The dental and physical forms can be found HERE. The completed health forms are due to Mrs. Sara Hedges, our school nurse, no later than October 15, 2023. You can upload your completed exam forms to your child's Parent Portal account or email them to CBGaymannurses@CBSD.org. Please keep a copy of the health forms for your records.

All absences should be entered through the Parent Portal.

Managing Student Attendance.

Student dismissal begins promptly at 3:15PM.

If you would like to pick up your son/daughter for an appointment, please pick up your child before 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child will be asked to wait with the other walkers, bus and car riders in his/her classroom, to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone. Thank you!

We are preparing for the 2023-2024 Student Directory. This directory includes school information, as well as parent contact information. Author J. Scott Savage will be visiting Gayman Elementary's 3rd and 4th grade students on Monday, October 9th as part of a national book tour to support his lastest release, Grayson Fox and the Treasure of Principal Redbeard. Following our author visit, students in 3rd and 4th grade will have the opportunity to sign up for an optional “lunch bunch” book club to dive into a variety of J. Scott Savage’s books.

Due to the volume of schools J. Scott Savage will be visiting in our area, we were not able to pre-order books for signing for this visit. His books will be available for students to borrow from the library and for book club. In addition, J. Scott Savage will be holding a book signing at the Montgomeryville Barnes and Noble on Tuesday, October 10. Signing will begin at 6pm, and will continue until all books have been signed.

We can’t wait to meet this energetic author, and are looking forward to learning more about his books!

Thank you to everyone who volunteered to be a Homeroom Parent/Assistant, a Chair or Co-Chair of a committee, and to the parents who attended the Board Meeting. Home & School Association appreciates parent involvement to help with events and create fun for the students.

Gayman Home and School is offering a 6 week Jump Rope Club on Tuesdays from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. The Club will start on Tuesday, October 10th and runs through Tuesday, November 14th. The cost is $60 per child.

Please note there are only 30 spots available, and they will fill quickly. We are unable to go beyond 30 kids for this club. If successful, we are looking to offer the Jump Rope Club again in the future.

This school year, the Gayman Home and School Association (GHSA) will be continuing to use annual Family Dues to help supplement the cost of all the amazing experiences the GHSA helps bring to Gayman Elementary.

Some of the experiences your children will have the ability to participate in, with the help of the GHSA are: Popsicles on the Playground, Fall Festival, Bingo, Dance, Library Technology, Author’s Day, School Assemblies, Kindness Counts Club and the End of Year Picnic. Field Trips and Class Parties are coming up. If you would like to help out, you need to have up-to-date Clearances:

The 8 week session starts on October 12th. Students will be dismissed to the Art Room at the end of the day. Pick up is at 4:30, at the Library Doors. (Door #19)
