2023-2024 DISTRICT HONORS ORCHESTRA
District #11 Honors Orchestra is designed as an extra challenge for high-achieving orchestra students from all secondary schools. Auditions were held before four judges at two district sites in December, and students from every cluster auditioned. Now that the results are in, we have something to celebrate! AMSA had more students make Honors Orchestra than any other secondary school!
Honors Orchestra will rehearse once weekly in January through February and present a concert at
Andover High School 7:00pm, March 4, 2024. Honors Orchestra will also perform at the District #11

Book Recommendation
The End of the Wild by Nicole Helget
This timely coming of age novel takes on the controversial issues of fracking and environmental protection.
Fern helps to take care of her impoverished family by foraging for food in the forest, but when a fracking company rolls into town, she realizes that her peaceful woods and her family's livelihood could be threatened.
The acclaimed author of Wonder at the Edge of the World weaves a poignant story about life on the poverty line, the environment, friendship and family—and, most of all, finding your place in the world.Anoka Middle School for the Arts Volunteer Program

The Fair consists of students in grades K-12 presenting the findings of their research and experimentation to the public. With well over 2,000 students involved, this Fair is the largest of its kind in the entire State.
In order for this Fair to work, we need community members to be volunteers and/or
judges at the Fair. Prospective judges do not need science or math backgrounds. We provide training for all of the judges. We are looking for responsible adults who are willing to give something back to the community. Your job as a judge is to talk with students about their projects and give them feedback.
Parent Engage 360 forum events are offered both in-person and in virtual formats and are free and open to the public.
