BHS Counseling Updates
BHS Families, Students, Faculty & Staff,
The end of first semester of the 23-24 school year is fast approaching! Final Exams will be on December 13-15th.
- Continue to monitor your students grades and progress towards graduation utilizing Aeries Parent Portal and check notifications sent via Parent Square. If you have any additional questions please contact BHS Counseling.
- Please continue to encourage your student to check their student emails, Google Classroom, and their Aeries Student portal to check their current grades and work with their teachers.
- Self care is important if your student needs additional support please contact BHS Counseling we are here to help.
October/November Recap
BHS Counseling had a busy October hosting a month long celebration of College and Career Kickoff with on campus college/career visitors, college application workshops, and resume workshops. All grade levels also received a Tier I lessons on Substance Abuse Prevention.
For the month of November BHS Counseling counselors attended the CA Affordability Summit, hosted college application workshops and college campus visitors, and presented Tier II Financial Aid Lessons for 12th grade students and "Making the most of Credit Recovery" presentations for 11th and 12th grades students currently in Credit Recovery.

Behavioral Health Therapists!
October was a busy month for the behavioral health therapists. We delivered presentations on substance use prevention to all classes in partnership with the counseling team in honor of Substance Use Prevention Month. We are now recruiting for small group counseling for topics such as substance use counseling, harm reduction, and mental wellness. Maintaining your Mental Health during the Holiday Season
Looking ahead to holiday gatherings, events, and activities may fill you with anticipation and excitement, along with a little stress. You may feel that build-up of anxiety as the holidays approach. It is important that we check in with ourselves and how we are doing mentally. Below are some tips to help you maintain your mental health during the winter break.
