Flynn Update

Dear Flynn Families,

First and foremost, a big thank you to everyone who came together to make our homecoming float a success. Seeing so many hands on deck and the energy as we threw out candy was fun to see. And Spirit Week was a hit! The enthusiasm and creativity of our students was the highlight of the year so far. Also the recent kindergarten field trip to the pumpkin patch went well. A special thank you goes out to all the chaperones who dedicated their time and ensured the trip's success.

Looking ahead, there are a few important items to share and events we'd like you to mark on your calendars for this month:

Literacy Night: Join us this Thursday, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm, for a special evening centered around reading.

• Free Books: The school will be giving away brand-new books for students ranging from pre-K to 8th grade. This is a wonderful opportunity to add a fresh title to your child’s collection at home.
• Pizza: We understand that evenings can be hectic. To make it convenient for families, we’ll be serving pizza for all who attend.
• Uniform Donations: If you have gently-used Flynn uniforms you'd like to donate, please bring them along. We'll sort and prepare them for other families to pick up during our parent/teacher conferences next month.

Beginning of Year Survey: Your feedback is invaluable. We've prepared a survey to gather your thoughts on how this school year is shaping up. It’s an opportunity for us to learn where we shine and areas we can enhance. Please take a few minutes to complete the below survey and share your insights.

PTO Meeting: Our next Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) meeting is slated for October 11th at 4 pm. These gatherings are a fantastic way to get involved, and all Flynn families are welcome to attend.

In closing, the energy, commitment, and feedback from our Flynn families make a tremendous difference. It's teamwork that makes our community thrive, and we're grateful for your continued partnership.

We will be hosting parent-teacher conferences on two days in November. Monday, November 6th from 2:00-6:00 PM and Wednesday, November 8th from 4:00-8:00 PM. More information will be provided as the date approaches.
