Congratulations to the Irish Wrestling Team. They are Area 1-A Champions! This mark the first Area Duals championship since 2011.

Pre-AP Literature Class Pizza Party!
Famous folks and infamous ones alike were the focus of Ms. Cynthia Scott’s Pre-AP Literature class presentations, delivered to the DHS administrative team Wednesday.
Each student chose a famous person-from Tyler Perry, Andrew Jackson, Johnny Cash, Issac Newton, Einstein and Rosa Parks, to Jackie Robinson, Marie Antoinette and Abraham Lincoln-and told his/her historical story and their historical impact through a rhyme or rap. According to Principal Dr. Michael Overstreet, “This was academically challenging, creative, and just plain engaging! Moreover, the students exemplified the expectations of our school's PBIS Matrix, Be Engaged, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible.”
