It's Teacher Appreciation Week this coming week. Please take a moment to celebrate your teachers. Our PTA is sponsoring a breakfast and lunch celebration for our teachers as well as some great options for families. Please check your email for details. We also had celebrations for Administrative Professionals this Wednesday not to mention the completion of testing and we recognized Mrs. Stephanie Curry as our Volunteer of the Year. This week's background features Mrs. Alpay and Mrs. De La Torre as part of the Administrative Professional Celebration at both campuses. As part of the celebration, Mrs. Alpay was recognized as TC's Classified Employee of the Year. Congratulations and thank you for all you do Mrs. Alpay.

Principal's Message...
It was a week of well deserved recognitions for our Office Staff (Kerri, Cookie, Alma and Juana) as well as Mrs. Curry for her incredible volunteer work on behalf of TC's PTA. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people to work with and collaborate with.
This week is our Coffee with the Principal event on Wednesday, May 4th at 9 am. You won't want to miss the opportunity to meet our Superintendent, Dr. Mark Johnson. He will be here to answer your questions and hear more about TC and TUSD in 22/23. Please be sure to RSVP using this link which includes a place to ask questions. You'll have the opportunity to attend in person outdoors at the high school campus or virtually. You won't want to miss it!

Elementary Information
End of Attendance Period Today: Please remember to get your work in for the attendance period as today is the last day. It's super important as you know, once the attendance period closes we can't accept work.
Last Assignment Sheet of the Year: You will all be receiving/received your last assignment sheet of the year. It's incredible! One more to go!
ID Cards: If you haven't picked it up yet, your teachers have your Tustin Connect School ID cards.
Middle School Information
CAASPP Testing Update: CAASPP testing Done and Dusted! So exciting. We have a few make ups to go but for the most part it's done! Thank you to all of our teachers, students, and families for making it happen and getting our students through the first testing in 3 years. Incredible. Thank you to our PTA for the snack carts to keep us energized!
8th Grade Program: 8th-grade students have been invited to participate in the Tilly's Life Center (TLC) Virtual Program. A guest speaker from TLC will join our students and Ms. Paulson to support our students as they matriculate to high school. Tilly’s Life Center (TLC) is a youth-focused, 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization aimed at empowering all teens with a positive mindset and enabling them to effectively cope with crisis, adversity, and tough decisions. TLC's mission is to inspire today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, kind, happy, and responsible individuals. 8th grade parents, please check your email from an update from Mr. Fineberg with additional details.
High School Information
CAASP Testing Update: Done! Thank goodness. We will be going back to just 11th graders moving forward at the high school level. Thank you to our students, teachers, and families for getting through the time. Big shout out to Mr. David for leading the coordination as well as to Mrs. Bullock who got us through Physical Fitness Testing.
Reminder Course Requests: Please be sure to sign up for courses for 22/23. The following videos will show you step by step how to pick your courses. Mrs. Hsieh is here to help as well and can be reached via email at phsieh@tustin.k12.ca.us.

You spend many nights at home preparing and grading, on weekends and most certainly on a holiday here and there, you sprinkle that with encouragement and gentle reminders, you seek solutions and invest in our children. PTA thanks you and celebrates you. Your passion for education shines in the achievements of your students.
Coordinating Council and Tustin Connect recognize Stephanie Curry for her tremendous talent, energy and giving spirit as a PTA volunteer. She has worked more hours than we can count on the website so that PTA can provide the most up to date information. Thank you, Stephanie!
