Celebrate Children's Book Week, November 6-12th: Read Books. Spark Change! Go on a Scavenger hunt with your family using the checklist below to find at least five different books. Write the titles on a paper and bring your list of books to your librarian for a prize! Use to your public library, school library, bookstore, home—or talk to friends and family for recommendations to find books. Browsing and talking are amazing ways to discover new books and the spark they can bring. Submit your list to Mrs. Rios, librarian, by Monday, November 12th.

Tuesday, November 7th - Congratulations to our students in K-5th that met their AR goals for the 2nd reporting period! They will receive a small prize and enjoy Board Game Day in the library during their PE time.

Join us for our Annual Family Literacy Night @ Speer Memorial Library!

Wednesday, November 29th from 5:00-6:00pm

Our guest reader will be Mission Police Chief Torres! He will be reading the book, "As Cool As It Gets." In the spirit of this holiday season, we are partnering up with Mission PD to help our Mission's Elderly, "Operation Christmas Spirit." You may choose to bring a board game, puzzle, coloring book, crayons, teddy bear, word puzzle, blanket or socks to this Literacy Night event.

We will have lots of fun! There will be an activity following the read aloud.

You will receive a free book, bookmark, and a treat! See you there!

*Limit 2 guests per child; guests will only eat with their child

You may only take photos of yourself and your child.
