Good afternoon,

We hope that you've had a nice weekend and that your student enjoys Monday, October 9! Teachers will be involved in professional development all day so students should not attend school.

We are in Week 8 of the 9 week period, and teachers are working to wrap up grades this week. Next week, final averages will be submitted for Quarter 1 by October 19. October 20 is an early release day, and teachers will receive professional development training for the afternoon. Our Early Release schedule is available on our website, in student agendas, and we will send the schedule home in our newsletter, as well.

Our school tutoring will begin the week of October 23. Teachers will be available to help students with course work in the Media Center from dismissal until 5:00. We will not have bus transportation, and students will need to be picked up in the car loop. We will send official tutoring information home soon.

Sullivan Middle School celebrates “Todos Somos, Somos Uno: We Are All. We Are One". Throughout, Hispanic Heritage month, Sullivan will feature short interviews of our SMS teachers of Hispanic and Latino Heritage. Our next Hispanic Heritage Month Interview is with Sr Molero. Enjoy! Volunteers Wanted!

Parents, we would love to have you volunteering on campus. Some recent requests were to help us monitor student hall transitions and possibly help cover classes on busy PD days! If you are interested in helping us, please reach out to a grade level administrator or counselor!

You can also find out about events through attending our SIC and PTO meetings on the 3rd Tuesdays of the month. The next one is scheduled for October 17!
