What's Happening in The Den
It's Conference Time!
It is with great excitement that I invite you to participate in our upcoming Scholar-Led Conferences (formally Parent-Teacher Conferences), scheduled for October 11th & 12th. These conferences provide a wonderful opportunity for your child to take ownership of their learning journey and showcase their progress. Follow the steps below for a successful conference experience.
1. Sign-up for a conference time with your child's teacher by Monday, October 2nd.
2. Please bring your scholars with you to the conference.
3. Celebrate the successes and make a plan for areas of improvement. Partner with your child's teacher in continuing to help them succeed!
We will meet in the Barnett Shoals Media Center and begin at 8 a.m.
When you arrive, please come to the front office and make sure to bring your ID so you can sign in.
We are looking forward to seeing you!
Ride your bike, skate, scooter, or walk to school. 🚲🛴👟
If you usually drive to school, we invite you to park nearby and stroll or roll the rest of the way!
We will have coffee available for our adults in the morning sponsored and provided by Jittery Joe's!!!

September is Attendance Awareness Month!
CCSD is joining school systems across the nation in recognizing September as Attendance Awareness Month.
For BSES, here’s where we stand as one Bear Family overall so far :) Compared with the first 2 weeks of September 2022, we're off to a great start:
** about 3 more scholars have been at school every day, and
** about 5 fewer students have been tardy each day!
For those interested in how our attendance so far will impact the den races…
At the halfway point, the Den of Distinction is living up to its name, as KODIAK is leading the way in ALL THREE categories for earning points! (absences, unexcused absences, and tardies) That said, all 3 categories are _close_ , and the other dens have 2 full weeks to try to make up ground, especially if Kodiak gets overconfident and loses focus!
