Senior Projects

Read-Alouds Return
Preschoolers from the Colonial Children's Academy and students in the Early Childhood & Teaching program gather for read-alouds in the media center every Wednesday. One of our popular titles was: I Will be Fierce by Bea Birdsong and Nidhi Chanani.
As Easy as ABC
In late June, Sarah Ard, Horticulture & Plant Science instructor, Emily Kotwal, Environmental Science & Technology instructor, and Kara Gleason, library media specialist, presented at the annual MAVA Connecting for Success conference. Book Check-Outs
Within the first few weeks of school, almost two-thirds of our ninth graders had at least one library book checked out. Many book checkouts occur during class visits for independent reading selection. Find our book catalog and link to our e-book and audio-book platform (Sora) at the library media center website.
In the News
In partnership with the library media center, Cosmo in the News became the latest iteration of the expanding World News Wednesday program initiated by Environmental Science instructor Emily Kotwal. Check out the materials for these newsworthy sessions. Reach out to partner with the library to begin a World News endeavor in your CTE program.

Databases & Reference eBooks
The Minuteman Library Media Center provides users access to a wide variety of databases & reference e-books on a multitude of topics. Our databases allow you to access a vast amount of authoritative information quickly and efficiently. All of our Gale databases & ebooks are available from anywhere in Massachusetts, most without a password.
Classroom Video on Demand
The Classroom Video on Demand streaming video database contains over 9,300 titles / 120,300 segments of content spanning a wide variety of subject areas including academics and CTE. Check it out on our Databases page and learn more at "About Classroom Video on Demand." A specific username and password may be required.
Flipster Digital Magazines
In addition to print magazines, we have Flipster digital editions of ARTnews, Discover, Eat Well, Education Week (new), MotorTrend, and National Geographic. Download the Flipster App or find these digital magazines in the Flipster carousel on the home page of the Library Media Center website. A specific username and password is required.
Sora eBooks & Audiobooks
Sora is a reading and listening website and app from OverDrive and Minuteman High School. With Sora, students can access a large collection of eBooks and audiobooks for independent reading.
Noodle Tools
Noodle Tools is our citation & research management subscription service. Recent updates include single-sign-on using Microsoft/ Minuteman accounts and a cleaner interface. See the Using Noodle Tools page on the media center website for user tutorials and Noodle Tools log-in information.
Bookshare
Bookshare is an online library of accessible ebooks and audiobooks for people with print disabilities. It is available for individuals who have a qualifying reading or perceptual disability, a visual impairment, or a physical disability that affects their ability to read printed works. Reach out to request an account for a qualified student.
New York Times
Access to the New York Times is available for free within the school building as part of our participation in the New York Times Verizon Title I program. No log-in or account is needed. Learn about access to other news sources on our Newspapers & Magazines Resource Guide.
What Are You Reading?
Reading ideas are be found throughout the school with staff "What Are You Reading?" posters. Special thanks to literacy laureates Ms. Shonour and Ms. Barry for their work to create and distribute these posters. Please reach out if you need one.
