This and That:

Our wildcats are really settling in to the routines at school. Thank you for doing your part like getting them in bed on time and making time for breakfast. Did you know your 3-7 year old should get between 10 and 12 hours of sleep per night? ( webMD) Being well rested is an important part of having them ready to learn!


The weather is also starting to get a little fall-ish. As we move into coat weather ( hopefully at a slow pace), please be sure your wildcat is properly dressed and everything is labeled with his/her name.


Our school day starts at 8:00 AM. If you are driving your child and arrive after that time, please walk your child to the Office and sign him/her in for the day. We teach the students that the Willow Way is Be Safe, Be caring, and Be Ready. Being on time makes a HUGE difference when it comes to being ready for the day. To help with this, we provide morning supervision starting at 7:40 AM


We very much appreciate the great communication we get from you when your wildcat isn't feeling well. We are all working hard to keep everyone safe! We had our first Shield Test for students in grades K-2. We were not able to get through everyone, but most were tested. It's a learning curve for the company and for us, but I know we will get it down! Thank you for talking to your wildcat ahead of time.


Finally, BIG thanks to all who donated clothes to the nurse. As you transition to fall, please keep us in mind when getting rid of any unneeded clothes.

Open House

Willow's Open House will be an outdoor event this year on September 23rd. To handle the large numbers safely, we will ask you to attend in shifts.


PreK and 1st grade from 5:00PM - 5:45 PM

Kindergarten and 2nd from 6:00PM - 6:45 PM


You'll find your child's teacher at a table in the front of the building. On the blacktop east of the building, you'll be able to buy your caramel apples, Willow Wear, and visit with area organizations like Scouts, PTA, etc. We also encourage you to check out the newly stenciled back playground on the north side of the building. The students have loved having another option to play while outside.

Bullying Presentations

Our SEL Team ( Social Emotional Learning) will be going into each classroom to present bullying presentations to all K-2 students. The curriculum comes from 2nd Step, which is also the source of the District adopted SEL curriculum. You can learn more at: https://www.secondstep.org/bullying-prevention


The first of the 3 part presentations will be the week of September 20th. Subsequent lessons will follow in January and March. More information is also in the letter below.

Book Blurb: "Across the Bay"
