This Week at Windsor...

Windsor Families,

It was great to see so many families at Movie Night last week as well as at Kindergarten Activity Night last night. Just a reminder that we only have school on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week due to Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday.

Be sure to sign up for parent-teacher conferences if you have not already done so. Links are below. Links will close on Monday, October 9th at 12:00pm.

Please find your child's classroom teacher's link and sign up for one conference slot. Conferences are with classroom teachers only, if your child has a different math teacher, please reach out to those teachers via email if you have any questions. Health Forms

State Required health forms for incoming Kindergarteners and students new to District 25 are due on or before October 15, 2023. Please be sure to check your email as we have reached out to most families who are still missing information. All 2nd Graders will need an updated Dental Form on or before May 15, 2024.

Looking for an online game that will help your child increase his/her math fluency? Greg Tang puzzles are a hit at Windsor, and for the month of October, you can find a Halloween or Fall gameboard of these games online for grades K-6. Visit this link for the Halloween Challenge or this one for the Fall Challenge. You will find the interactive game boards for each grade level on the right side of the page. Click on your child’s grade and follow the directions on that page to complete the challenge. If your child completes the game board before October 28, please send me an email (vstella@sd25.org) and I will enter him/her into a special Windsor raffle! Questions, let me know. Please also make every effort for your child to arrive at school on time. Missing the beginning of the school day often has a negative impact on students for the rest of the day. Please contact the office if your child will be tardy or needs to leave early!

Student Health: If your child has tested positive for COVID-19, you can notify the school nurse for guidance regarding how many days it is recommended to stay home (5 days with day 0 as onset of symptoms or test day if asymptomatic) per Illinois Department of Public Health.

October commemorates the first Polish settlers as well as the leadership of General Kazimierz Pułaski and Tadeusz Kościuszko who fought in the American Revolution.
