Happy Friday Kipling Families!
I cannot believe our calendar year is coming to an end and we are three days away from winter break. Thank you for an amazing first half of this school year. My first six months here have been a whirlwind, but for all the good reasons. Learning about our district and all of the support we have in place for children has been very rewarding. Meeting our parents and families and our PTO has been such a pleasure. I feel so welcome and I cannot express how much gratitude I have for your positive interactions and partnership. Getting to work with this Kipling staff and learning about each of them professionally and personally has made our early collaboration fun, exciting, and successful. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together. Most importantly, though, the time I get to spend with our students is the best part of my day. I am continually impressed with how kind, caring, and inquisitive they are. And I am continually humbled by all the opportunities I get to learn from each of them. Kipling is such a special place and I am incredibly happy and proud to be here.
As we enter this holiday season and this new calendar year, I ask you to join me in celebrating our children. The most important thing we can do as parents is to provide them the love, support, experiences, and confidence they need to take risks and challenge themselves in safe and positive ways. They will experience accomplishment, failure, pain and joy. I have no doubt that between our home and school connection, we will guide each of them to happiness and success. So enjoy 18 days with family and friends. Relish this time and be as present as possible with your kids - and I will try to do the same.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and your families!
Respectfully,
Mr. Matthew O. Lombardo, NBCT

Thank you so much to all of our families who donated gifts and their time for our Restored Hope holiday gift drive. And thank you to all of our PTO members and to the Philanthropy Committee for making this event such a success. Watching all the gifts come in on Wednesday and all the time spent on checking in items and wrapping and organizing them was amazing. And it was such a joy to see the truck being loaded this morning just knowing what a positive impact all of it will make. Your thoughtfulness and generosity are incredible examples to set for our students as we come together to help others in need.
