2024 WINTER EXPOS
We have one Winter Expo event left! Those in the southern part of the state do not want to miss the 2024 Durant Winter Expo! We will have various Epic departments on site to answer your questions, informative parent and caregiver breakout sessions, as well as engaging student sessions. We will have new and updated information. There is something for both new and veteran Epic families! READ ACROSS AMERICA WEEK
It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how! Come celebrate Read Across America Week at an Epic literacy event. It's fun for the whole family! This will be an event where Epic families can celebrate the joy of reading with our staff and teachers, and a surprise visit from The Cat in the Hat. Epic's Got Talent - Art & Talent Showcase
Join us for an evening showcasing some of Epic’s very own students and their talents! On Friday, Feb. 23, from 5:45-8 p.m., come and view a student art walk and experience some amazing talent performances! Kindergarten Graduation Ceremonies
Congratulate and celebrate our kindergarteners at one of our kindergarten graduation ceremonies. These events will be held at five different locations. Space is limited, so we ask that you register to reserve your spot at the location of your choice. Students will walk across the stage and receive a certificate of participation for being a part of Epic’s kindergarten class of 2024.
Ceremonies will be held 6-8 p.m. Photographers will be available beforehand for pictures. Graduation caps and gowns will be available to use for pictures. Click on the Eventbrite links below for more information.

An opportunity to find your people in a virtual world
At Epic, we offer a variety of clubs and activities for students to join. These events and organizations are a great way for students to find their niche among students with similar interests and goals. PEER TUTORING
Partnering and empowering young minds for success
Epic Peer Tutoring enrollment opened on Jan. 26. Classes are limited and began on Feb. 5, so ask your teacher to sign your student up as soon as possible! If you have any questions, please contact peertutoring@epiccharterschools.org.
EPIC PARENTS AS TEACHERS
EPIC BEGINNINGS
Epic Beginnings is a free family-support program designed to prepare young children from birth to age 5 who reside in a household with at least one Epic student but who are not Epic students themselves. SEAL OF BILITERACY
We are thrilled to introduce the Seal of Biliteracy Award for students who have achieved proficiency in two or more languages. This recognition will be included in their high school transcript and signifies the student's readiness for career, college and global citizenship. If you're interested in testing for this prestigious award, email us at languageservices@epiccharterschools.org or fill out the application here and view the assessment qualification score link in the form. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity!

Google Slides: How to Add Media & Animation
Check out the short Take 5 training video about how to add media and animation to a Google Slides presentation. It is an important skill almost every student at Epic will need to learn. We live in a digital world and learning how to utilize Google suite tools is essential. Why not learn alongside your students?

Epic Charter Black History Spoken Word Poetry Night slated for Feb. 29. If students or staff are interested in performing, please fill out this form by Feb. 16. If anyone is interested in attending, fill out this form.
OKLAHOMA CITY NATIONAL MEMORIAL ESSAY CONTEST
The Essay Contest gives young people an opportunity to apply the lessons of history to the current world as they see it. After watching a short video about the Oklahoma City bombing, they will respond to a prompt that asks them to think about how hope can come from tragedy and why it is important to remember. Students who participate can win cash prizes and be a part of our annual award ceremony. Be sure to review the rules before you submit. Click the button below for more information. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Oklahoma City Community Foundation has connected donors with Oklahoma students to help them achieve their educational dreams. This important service has made OCCF one of the largest independent scholarship providers in the state.
The 2024 Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar Program application is now open and closes on Feb. 15 at 7:00 p.m. CST.
