Donations exceed $1000 for new novel
Thanks for your generosity!
Thanks to $1164 in donations from twenty-two donors, 10th graders will each have their own copy of George Takei's superb graphic (novel) memoir, They Called Us Enemy. Academic counselor debuts new website
More resources for applying to and paying for college
Ms. Pekny, the high school academic counselor, has created a website to help with resources for applying to college. There is information regarding scholarships, FAFSA, application deadlines, and other helpful things.
Robotics Team Movie Night
Team raises money towards competition fees
The Robotics Team hosted a movie night on Friday, December 1. The team raised $1462.81 through concessions, a raffle, and donations.
🏀 Girls Basketball🏀
The team hosted Stevenson High School on Wednesday night in their season opener and defeated the Bulldogs 92-36. Senior Ally Schimel scored 36 points and senior Ella Holwege had 22 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Junior Lilly Schimel scored 18 points with 4 three-pointers while seniors Carly Hardie and Ava Blatchford added 6 points and 5 points respectively. Ninth grader Kai Bruin scored their first basket of the season with a 3 pointer in the fourth quarter.

🏀 Boys Basketball🏀
Valley Catholic travelled to Corbett for the team's season opener on Wednesday, November 29. Ninth grader Greyson Aho had a team-high 9 points while junior Hunter Hergert scored 6 points off a pair of three-pointers. Junior Jeffrey Johnson and sophomore Armin Mehanovic both added 5 points.The team lost 38-84.

🏊 Swimming 🏊♀️
Corbett High School's 23-24 swim team has senior Ellie Schmidt, junior Haley Potts, sophomores Anna Rondema, Camden Gilbert, Elliott Greene, Isabella Kaufhold, and Ella Houston, and ninth graders Asher Reymond, Samuel Murphy, and Eva Gomez.
- First meet: Friday, 12/15 @ 3 pm at Parkrose HS
🤼 Wrestling 🤼
Competing for Corbett's wrestling team are juniors Miguel Arzeta, Johnathan Nuno, and Zane Davis, sophomores Jonathan Gonzalez, Elliot Hunter, and Carl Orchard and ninth graders Richard Bjugan, Brighton Curfman, Lucas Davis, and Caleb Kasner. The team wrestled at Knappa on Friday and in Rainier on Saturday. On Saturday, Miguel Arzeta had a pin, Johnny Nuno had two wins by pin and then was injured. Zane Davis fought hard for 4th place out of 20 wrestlers and Carl Orchard finished in 2nd place.
