Level Up with PRIDE - Week #5 🎮
Greetings, STEAM Family!
We hope everyone had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend and were hopefully able to catch up on a little rest and relaxation with your loved ones. Upon our return, we have a host of events happening on campus this week, so please be sure to review the flyers featured below. We are especially looking forward to our "Welcome Back Night" this Thursday, 9/7 at 5:30 pm. Parents will get an opportunity to pick up your child's 1st Nine Weeks Progress Report, as well as conduct brief "status checks" with your child's teacher(s) to see how your child is performing at this point in terms of academics and behavior.
As an added incentive to encourage attendance, students who have a parent/guardian to attend "Welcome Back Night" will earn 10 PBIS Rewards Points. These will certainly come in handy during our upcoming PBIS Shopping Days, when students get an opportunity to redeem their points earned and shop for a variety of cool treats and prizes from our school's PBIS Store!

This Week at SDE:
ATTENDANCE MATTERS - Parents, please make sure your child maintains regular attendance and arrives to school in a timely manner. Students are tardy at 8:15 am. Five (5) tardies and/or early dismissals count as one (1) unexcused absence. Student attendance will be a part of criteria used to determine eligibility for school-wide celebrations. Remember, every minute really counts!
- Weekly grade level newsletters will be sent home each Monday, so please check your child's folder and/or book bag.
- The dress code will be enforced DAILY at SDE! Any "Dress Down" days will be communicated in advance. Repeated dress code violations will result in students becoming ineligible to participate in school-wide and/or classroom PRIDE celebrations and events! Please make sure your child adheres to the required dress code. Remember, the P in PRIDE stands for "Personal Responsibility".
