Students will be receiving SEL (Social Emotional Lessons) in the Counselor Canvas Course. The lessons will be promoted by teachers during tutorial for students to complete. There is a counseling referral link below, which can be completed if there is any need of counseling support for your child. Please also take time to navigate the additional resources provided. There is a resource link below to help our students that are planning transitioning back to school in-person. If challenges arise know that we are here to support you throughout the school year.

Welcome School Counselor Intern- Ms. Gage
Hello! I am Megan Gage, I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with my bachelor’s in child development and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Educational and Clinical counseling with a PPS credential, and my LPCC certificate at Azusa Pacific. I am from San Bernardino but lived in Orange County from 2014 until recently due to Covid-19. I previously did my counseling practicum hours at Palisades Elementary and I chose to come back to CUSD for my fieldwork for the counselors, many of whom have achieved RAMP recognition, and the support that the district and administrators give to the counseling programs. In my free time I love to cook and bake and prepandemic I loved going to spin classes, rock climbing, and spending time with my friends and family. I’m excited to begin my fieldwork at Shorecliffs with Ms. Avendano to support the students, families, and staff!

September Self-Care Calendar
Self–Care Awareness Month in September is a time to remind us that taking care of ourselves, first and foremost, is essential. Self-care is often neglected in our everyday lives. We all tend to put others needs before our own and it is crucial to remember, that we cannot fill another's cup from our own empty vessel. See below calendar of helpful strategies for self-care.
