Sources of Strength Update from Counselor Mr. Kendra
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for all you do for your amazing students. Your support and encouragement is an important part of their success at school. Our Sources of Strength emphasis for February and March is: Family Support. We will be looking at family support when I do counselor lessons in the classrooms. We will discuss what family support looks like for different people and different families. Along with family support, we will be learning about our two character traits: Cooperation and Inclusion. Students will learn the definitions of these traits and discuss examples of how they can practice these in their lives.
It is our hope that you have a great rest of February and have fun practicing these traits with your children!

Your child can earn a Silverwood ticket!
Did you know your student could earn a free ticket to Silverwood? The Silverwood Read 2 Ride program grants every K-6 student who completes the challenge one free ticket that is good this summer for Silverwood and Boulder Beach. Reading logs were sent home (you can use blank sheets of paper if you need more room). Every sheet MUST be signed by an adult, MUST have at least 600 minutes of reading, and MUST be turned in by April 1st. No late or incomplete logs will be accepted. Tickets will come home with report cards at the end of the year. Thanks for supporting your reader and this fun program!
