What's Up At The Nest...
Principal's Message
Dear OMS Families,
We had a great week back at the nest! We enjoyed the snow early in the week and we are hopeful that next week will bring some higher temperatures so we can get outdoors. Please enjoy the photos below of our students having SNOW much fun!
Stay warm!

Reminders from the Office
KINDERGARTEN PRE-REG UPDATE
Please note that the pre-registration link for kindergarten and new students will go live on the district 25 website sometime on January 12, 2022. For updates, please check the District 25 Registration Page.
SIGNING IN/OUT STUDENTS
Please be sure to walk with your child to the office door when you return from an appointment or lunch. Additionally, note that the student code that you scan on the front door is time-stamped, letting the administration know when a student left the building and with whom. For accurate records and to reduce confusion, we would appreciate it if parents or caregivers would submit that Google form only at the time that the student is picked up or dropped off.
PERSONAL ITEM DROPOFF
We understand that sometimes an item is forgotten at home and needs to be dropped off at the office for your student. If this happens, please be sure to label the item or tape a piece of paper to it with the student's name and teacher. This is incredibly helpful to the front office team when items are dropped off at the same time by multiple parents. Please note that in an effort to reduce interruptions to instructional time, the office calls classrooms at 12:00 regarding items that have been dropped off.
NOTES TO THE TEACHER FOR EARLY DISMISSAL
While it is certainly helpful to email the teacher regarding early dismissals or mid-day appointments for your child, please also send a hand-written note with your child on the day of the appointment. The note would alert a substitute teacher to send your child down to the office at the requested time. Also, teachers do not always have the opportunity to check their emails on the day of a last-minute appointment.
REMINDER - Toys/Fidgets should remain at home.
Shield Testing
As a reminder, throughout the school year, you can always enroll your child in or unenroll your child from the SHIELD testing process. Please click the links below and fill out the appropriate forms.
