Parkland Announces COVID-19 Vaccinations for Classroom Teachers (March 4-12)
In an effort to provide our staff information regarding COVID-19 vaccinations, DeSoto ISD is sharing the following opportunity for classroom teachers on behalf of the Parkland Health & Hospital System Vaccination Outreach team.
From Thurs., March 4 to Fri., March 12, Parkland will administer vaccinations to classroom teachers from the following school districts:
- Cedar Hill Independent School District
- DeSoto Independent School District
- Duncanville Independent School District
- Lancaster Independent School District
Parkland is working with the larger school districts to develop a process for administering vaccinations to their classroom teachers. We ask that you please keep these instructions confidential and do not forward this email or the instructions to school districts outside of the school districts listed above.
All classroom teachers MUST present with an ID badge at the time of the appointments. Persons who cannot produce an ID badge will be turned away.
Vaccinations will be APPOINTMENT ONLY and eligible individuals must follow the below process to schedule an appointment. We will NOT take walk-ins and they will be turned away.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have already received your first dose, you will keep your original appointment at your same location. There is no need to do anything else at this time.
BEFORE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT WITH PARKLAND
- Please review the attached fact sheet for the Pfizer Vaccine and ensure you qualify to receive the vaccine.
- In general, you should NOT get the vaccine if you:
- had a severe allergic reaction after a previous dose of this vaccine
- had a severe allergic reaction to any ingredient of this vaccine
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
