New Info Collection Form - Travel and Gatherings
If you plan to travel or attend a gathering categorized "highest risk" by the CDC, please fill out the travel/large gatherings form. Do not call or email Mrs. Goldsworthy due to the high volume of communications she already receives. NOTE: This is no longer a waiver to be filled out for approval. However, the school may require your household to quarantine before returning to school once your travel/large gathering information has been reviewed. Please continue to be diligent by honestly answering your family health questionnaire DAILY, absence reporting, and fill out the travel/large gatherings form to help us better track potential COVID problems.

New! CSSE Family Feature!
Meet The Goldsworthy Family! Chris and Molly Goldsworthy have two sons at St. Eugene. Samuel is in 2nd grade and Henry is in Pre-K.
Samuel started at St. Eugene 4 years ago, but the family already had history with the school. Chris is an alumnus, and the family wanted to continue the wonderful legacy of Catholic education. Molly considers herself honored to serve our CSSE community as the principal.
Molly says their favorite thing about CSSE is, "that we are a diverse community and that our Catholic Faith connects us."
A little more about the Goldsworthy family: "We have three dogs! Two little ones, and a new BIG puppy!"
We are glad that Goldsworthy family is a part of our community!
Parish News
Mass is still celebrated daily at St. Eugene, and with the exception of school mass, masses are open for all to come and participate while following COVID precautions. Archbishop Coakley has stated:
“Unless someone has a legitimate reason not to attend Sunday Mass (personal health or the health of someone they care for), they should not excuse themselves from Mass simply because the obligation has been temporarily lifted. We need the Mass. We need the Sacraments.”
St. Eugene’s weekend masses are Saturday at 5pm, Sunday at 9:30am and 5pm in English, and Sunday at 12 noon and 7pm in Spanish. The 5pm masses have had the lowest attendance, and may be a good option for those who would like to return in person for the first time. There are also weekday masses scheduled for you to attend. If you are not able to attend mass in person, please participate with your family online. All public masses are streamed on the church’s Facebook. You may also stream via the church’s YouTube channel for weekend masses.
Archbishop Coakley Moves Confirmation to Middle School. Archbishop Paul Coakley announced on September 29, 2020 a change in placement for the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City. Preparation for Confirmation will be completed in one year instead of two and will be held in the sixth or seventh grade instead of during high school. The Secretariat for Evangelization and Catechesis will assist parishes in preparing for and implementing the transition, which will begin by Fall of 2022. No changes will be made this year. https://archokc.org/confirmation
Please Pray For...
Pray for all those who have been affected by Covid-19, whether by sickness, loss of job, isolation, or loneliness, etc. May all find strength, comfort and healing in this difficult time. | Pray for our staff who have been putting in many extra hours to prepare for the upcoming school year. Please pray for students and their families. May God grant us all patience and wisdom as we navigate a very different school year. Help us put our faith first and give grace to all.
If you would like to include something in the Prayer Requests section, please contact Kim Hattaway at eagleexpress@steugeneschool.org.
School News On Repeat
My Child is Ill. What Do I Do? Allergies or COVID? Stomach bug or COVID? It can be hard to decipher what ailment might be affecting your child. We have created some graphics and flowcharts to help you navigate what steps to take when your child or someone in your household is feeling unwell. Please report concerns or questions about illness to Mrs. Goldsworthy at illness-report@steugeneschool.org, and she will consult with our response team - Mrs. O'Connell and Mrs. Rischard. ALWAYS fill out and submit the Absentee Form (or call Ms. Patrick in the office), then notify your child’s homeroom/house teacher each day of absence.
Absences Please use the Absentee Form to report absences AND email your child’s teacher/house homeroom. It is important to communicate why your child is missing school with the teacher and document through the Google form. Please be meticulous in following directions if a child, household member, or close contact has recently tested positive for COVID or is awaiting results of a COVID test. NO ONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY ENTER THE SCHOOL BUILDING if COVID exposure is positive OR in question. Mrs. Goldsworthy MUST clear your household for return to school in all cases where the possibility of COVID is involved. Please use illness-report@steugeneschool.org for correspondence regarding illness updates to Mrs. Goldsworthy.
Screening Questions and Carpool Please remember to have your questions answered DAILY and results ready to show on your phone. Students should be masked, on the passenger side for temp checks, and ready to go as soon as carpool teacher opens the door. bit.ly/FamilyDailyQs
