Thank you to everyone who takes the time out to read, share, and acknowledge the hard work and commitment done by our staff and students that is shared monthly in this newsletter. I hope it has given you all a snapshot into what happens in our building on a daily basis. Our community is a great one, but all communities can use fostering and nurture. Continue to foster and nurture your students, colleagues, and most of all yourselves. Until next year, be well!

This is a time to raise awareness of and reduce the stigma surrounding behavioral health issues, as well as highlighting the ways how mental illness and addiction can affect all of us – patients, providers, families, and our society at large.

Thank you Dr. Colihan, the proud principal of Hodgson Vo-Tech for all you do to lead this ship.

During Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, our Nation celebrates the diversity of cultures, breadth of achievement, and remarkable contributions of these communities; of brave immigrants who, motivated by the promise of possibilities, picked up their lives and found new homes here; of native peoples who have stewarded these lands since time immemorial; and of community leaders shaping a brighter future for us all.

Every year, the National Stroke Association leads the stroke community in providing ways to learn about stroke, sharable resources, and opportunities to participate. The goals of this year's campaign are to help reduce stroke risk and take people behind the scenes of what happens when someone experiences a stroke.

FAM Reunion is a celebratory time for affinity groups across the district to come together to bask in their individual and collective achievements from the school year. Students are treated to lunch and free games at Main Event in Newark, Delaware.

Huge shoutout to Mr. Moxley who coordinated the career fair for students and families. There was a great turnout, and families appreciated being included in the event.

Every year, during the month of June, the LGBTQ community celebrates in a number of different ways. Across the globe, various events are held during this special month as a way of recognising the influence LGBT people have had around the world.

Pride month is also an opportunity to peacefully protest and raise political awareness of current issues facing the community. Parades are a prominent feature of Pride month, and there are many street parties, community events, poetry readings, public speaking, street festivals and educational sessions all of which are covered by mainstream media and attracting millions of participants
