Elements' Family Weekly

Principal's Message
Dear FSE Families,
Thank you to those families who were able to attend our Remembrance Day Ceremony prior to fall break! It was a touching tribute honouring all our armed forces members! Our sincere thanks goes out to our special guests Board Trustee Ralph Sorochan, Master Corporal Don Fraser, CDN Retired, and trumpeter Mike Kischuk.
I am so excited to share that class 4C has won a pizza party for being the class with the best attendance for the month of October! Way to go, 4C! We are all looking forward to seeing which class is going to be our attendance award winner for the month of November!
This past week it was Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week and this was reflected in our informative daily announcements and Kindness Challenges that were given each day. Staff nominated students who were 'caught' being kind and prizes were given to our winners. As a way to highlight inclusivity, we celebrated 'Odd Socks Day' on Monday as a symbolic guesture letting everyone know it is okay to be different! Students created their own mismatched socks using a paper template and these were hung on the walls to our library and gym. We welcome families to come and check it out!
Wednesday was 'Rock Your Mocs' day. This was another opportunity for us to celebrate diversity and inclusion at Fort Saskatchewan Elementary! Our Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week ended with our Friendship Friday & PJ Day! Students were encouraged to bring something special to them to share with their classmates. Thanks goes out to our Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week Committee for organizing an amazing week for our school community! We are looking forward to having this kindness continue throughout the school year and beyond!
As always, if you have any questions, please email me directly at shelby.labrecque@eips.ca or call 780-998-7771, during regular business hours.
