Fairfield Panther Paw
September 8, 2023
From Mrs Tennenbaum
I am very proud of the students and how well they have been doing. They are adjusting to the new routines and are meeting our expectations for behavior and academics. Our staff works so hard to ensure that our students have a safe and welcoming environment to learn in. We continue to strive to be awesome! We have amazing support from our school community and our PTO - please consider volunteering for our parent organization. They give so much to our students and staff. It truly takes a village and Fairfield Elementary has an awesome one!
Thank you Miss Bright

Pikmykid
We need all of our families to download the Pikmykid app as that will be the only way that you can change afterschool transportation and early dismissals.
If you are in the parent pick up line, please go on the app and ANNOUNCE for your student. This allows us to get them kids ready and in order for a speedy pick up.
If you haven't already registered, please do so!

There can only be 2 guardians for each student and they must be listed in Infinite Campus and emergency contacts #1 and #2 and the email's have to match from Infinite campus. Both of these Guardians will be able to make changes to their students' dismissal.
To add a second Guardian, The guardian #1 can reach out to the PIKMYKID parent support team and get connected to their child, as long as they have their Student's PIKMYKID ID# from the car tag.
Delegates can be added to a student by the guardians . They include ( grandparents, babysitter, neighbors) these delegates can not make adjustments to the students dismissal process.

22-23 Yearbook Update
- Yearbooks purchased for all students now in 5th grade were sent to Harmon for distribution, unless a parent emailed and asked to pick it up in the office or have it sent home with a sibling still at Fairfield.
- Yearbooks purchased for students now in 4th and 3rd grades were distributed to classes earlier this week and teachers will send them home.
- Yearbooks purchased for students now in 1st and 2nd grade will be distributed and sent home by Friday.
This was a new process this year and we appreciate your patience! We know all of your kids are excited to see them! After all yearbooks are accounted for, we may have a few extras to sell at regular price. We know a few families have asked, so we will share this info ASAP.
PTO Meeting on Sept 20 at 7pm
Help us gear up for a VERY busy Fall season for the PTO! Join us at our September meeting as we finalize plans for our first ever Read-a-Thon and the fall Book Fair, coordinate needs for our first teacher appreciation event, and begin the initial plans for our annual Trunk or Treat event. We hope you can join us in the school's Media Center at 7pm on Sept. 20. More details will be shared here: https://fb.me/e/1dy19tzLI
Save the Dates! Our Read-a-Thon and Book Fair is coming!
NEW this Fall! Get ready for Fairfield's 1st READ-a-THON! We're excited to support our young readers with a week full of reading FUN! Students will have a chance to read to earn prizes and fun experiences as a class. This combination enrichment event and fundraiser will also collect donations to help our PTO fund exciting activities, with a portion of each class's earnings going directly to classroom needs. Our Read-a-Thon will kick off on September 29 and continue from October 2-6. In collaboration with all this reading fun, students will also have a chance to shop at our Fall Book Fair during their library time during the week of October 2-6.
We will need multiple volunteers to help us pull off these events. Check your calendars for Sept. 29 to Oct 6 to see if you might have a few hours free to help us that week. Sign up sheets will be sent out soon with information on what we need help with, including volunteer opportunities for staffing our Read-a-thon's experience prizes and the book fair!
