Columbus Connections
December 8, 2023
Welcome to our weekly newsletter for Columbus Elementary families! Every Friday we will share good news, important information, and of course our STAR STUDENTS with you.
Week in Review
The month of December is off to a great start at Columbus. Our fifth graders continued their preparation for next week's holiday concert. All of the children had a chance to do some shopping at the PTA Holiday Boutique. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered . In physical education the students had a lot fun playing “Boardwalk Games”. Several of our fourth grade classrooms had writing celebrations to conclude their narrative units. As part of the celebration, students shared their narrative pieces with each other and provided feedback about something they appreciated. As part of our ongoing safety drill practice, we also had our second lockdown drill earlier today. The children and staff did a great job. Please see some pictures below in the around Columbus section.
