Advising Tips
2. Offer multiple appointment types, including phone, video or in person.
3. If you are using a Bristol Laptop you can use Bristol's phone system as long as you have an extension. If not, you can use a free service called Google Voice. Google voice is a way for you to have a phone appointment or text without giving out your personal phone number.
Note: For Google Voice, you will need to use a Gmail account. Google Voice is easy and free, and you don't have to share your personal number with your students. A link to a tutorial on how to set up Google Voice is included at the bottom of this page.
Developmental Courses- Math, Reading and English Co-requisites.
The math department runs co-requisite math courses, MTH 119S, MTH 125S, MTH 127S, MTH 152S and MTH 131S for students that place into developmental math. The math they take is dependent on their program of study. Some students do get exemptions and this will be listed on the degree works page, the math that is required for their program will also be listed in their degree works page.

- There are other booking systems out there such as, You Can Book Me and Calendly, but I like to be consistent with the college
If you do not have a Bristol laptop and/or a phone extension and can't use Avaya, then you can use Google Voice to conduct a phone appointment. A video tutorial is below. You will need a google account/gmail to set up Google Voice
