November 2023
No School Tuesday, Nov. 7th
From the Principal's Desk
Thank you so much for your attendance at our Parent-Teacher conferences a couple of weeks ago. Our teachers enjoyed meeting with you and sharing the success of your children. As a school, we had almost 100% attendance. If you were unable to attend the conference, please reach out to your child's teacher to reschedule.
As it is the month of gratitude, I want to express how grateful I am for our Mary Frank PTO. The donations collected & supper provided for parent-teacher conferences, our Fall Festival (AMAZING!), and Book Fair support were all phenomenal. We have felt supported, well-fed, and well-cared for this month. Thank you to all of you who volunteered your time throughout the month of October as well.
Thank you to those of you who have emailed me regarding upcoming family vacation dates. Please remember that those must be approved in order to be excused. For daily absences, please continue to email maryfrankattendance@phm.k12.in.us.
This month has a few "non-school" days including Election Day and Thanksgiving Break. Please note these on your calendar. And, as much as I hate to say this...keep an eye out for those delay days (or e-Learnning) that will be coming soon due to weather changes!
Have a wonderful month of November!
With a grateful heart,
~Mrs. Heerschop

Mustangs Give Back is BACK!
Mustangs Give Back is a club for 4th & 5th graders whose purpose is to develop leadership and citizenship skills by focusing on others and making an impact by giving back to our community. The club has an application process and students must demonstrate the Mustang Mindset through words and actions. Students meet twice a month to decide on their projects and discuss other ways to give back to our community and school.
This club was originally developed by Mrs. Helman-Cass, a former Mary Frank teacher, current Mary Frank parent, and current administrator in a neighboring district. She is a great demonstration of how our impact can continue even after we've moved on in our journeys. Thank you Mrs. Helman-Cass!
