He will also provide this educational update for our Parents and Community Members in the afternoon from 4:00- 5:00 PM at the Town Hall Community Meeting. Additionally, we will have a guest speaker, Christine Sanghera, Inspired Wellness Coach, who will join Ms. King-Berg on Friday morning from 8:45 AM-9:30 AM during our TPD. Our campaign to inform and educate you about COVID-19, vaccinations, and self-care will continue. There is more to come. Thank you Ms. Zubia for facilitating the connection with Kaiser (Laura Orozco) and Inspired wellness (Teresa Sale).

General Return to Campus- Cases Fall, May Hit Red Tier Within a Week or Two
As a general heads up, we want to make you aware that LA County case rates continue to drop quickly. We appear to be on a trajectory to cross into the red tied as soon as next week (it may take longer). For context, the 7-day case rate is 12.3/100,000 for the last seven days, and the week before, it was 25/100,000. 7/100,000 will put us in the red tier. If we stay in that range, schools would be allowed for a broad return to campus in hybrid under current state guidance.

YPICS Re-Opening
What does this mean for our Schools?
Middle Schools
· Bert Corona Charter School and Monseñor Oscar Romero Charter School will open to support high-needs students as soon as possible.
· Bert Corona Charter School and Monseñor Oscar Romero Charter School will open the campus for elementary grades when LAUSD reopens its campuses. Since the MORCS facility is regulated by LAUSD, MORCS can not open until LAUSD approves all their campuses' reopening. The current statement from LAUSD is the campuses will open when all teachers and staff have been vaccinated.
High School
Bert Corona Charter High School (BCCHS) will reopen for small group instruction and support high-needs students as soon as possible. The High School facility is regulated by LAUSD and cannot open until LAUSD opens all of its campuses. The current statement from LAUSD is the campuses will open when all teachers and staff have been vaccinated.
In conclusion, our school will begin supporting high-needs students on campus in small groups. Our middle school campuses will reopen at the same time and will be contingent on LAUSD reopening campuses for middle school students. Bert Corona Charter High School campus will also open when LAUSD opens its High Schools.
YPICS will continue to focus on vaccinations for adults and weekly COVID testing on each campus for staff and students once we return to campus, as indicated above.
