Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Green and Executive Director of Intense Student Support Dr. Lanissa Freeman tackle the conversation about mental health in schools with Ms. Amyre Makupson of CBS News. They discuss what Southfield Public Schools has currently in place to assist our scholars.

Congratulations to senior Khila Griffin as she was honored at this year's Michigan Art Education Region 7 Art Exhibition at Oakland Schools. She received Top 18 in the State of Michigan and is representing Southfield A&T in this year's traveling Governor's Show. Her piece "The Art of Resistance" will be traveling around the State of Michigan from May 2023 - May 2024!

On March 6th, 65 schools were present at Southfield A&T for the College Fair. Students at A&T and UHSA visited each table to explore what was offered.

It was so great to see a variety of many different options for our scholars! A few of the schools were U of M Taubman College, Lawrence Tech, University of Alabama, and College for Creative Studies.

Ms. Walker at MacArthur assigned her scholar’s people to research for their Black History projects. Justice Bolden saw the photos on the MacArthur page and asked to be put in contact with the young lady and her teacher. She came to visit Ms. Walker's class on March 3rd. Justice Kyra Harris Bolden is a graduate of Southfield Public Schools.
