UNIFORMS and PICTURE DAY
Hello Parents and Students,
We are excited to provide you with the sign up for a marching uniform fitting and picture day slot!
We will be doing sign-ups differently this year. Seniors will receive priority and can sign up for their slots first, followed by Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshman. A charms email will be sent out with the Sign-Up Genius link to select a time slot. You will receive the Charms email on the first day of your sign-up time frame based on your class.
Class Sign-Up Time Frames: (These are the time blocks during which students from each class can sign up for a time slot on picture day: 7/29)
Seniors 7/2 - 7/6
Juniors 7/7 - 7/11
Sophomores 7/12 - 7/16
Freshman 7/17 - 7/21
We Highly Suggest that you sign up for the earliest time slot possible so that each band/guard student has access to the largest selection of uniform sizes. As the day goes on the size selection tends to decrease.
Remember: The Sign-Up Genius link will be emailed directly to each class during the time frames designated above via a charms email.

Jag Jog is September 16th!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Each year, the Jaguar Band Boosters host the Jaguar Jog. It is an important fundraiser for our program! This is a 5k/ 10k run/walk that supports our band and guard programs!
We are working on setting up this year’s committee to kick things off and we need your help to make this event a success!! If you would like to help with the Jag Jog please reach out to Joan Forsythe (jaguarjog@johnsonbands.com). We are happy to work with you to fit your availability, ANY help is welcome!

10:30 am – 12 pm Bring a friend to Spin with us! Bring a friend that you think might be interested in joining our guard next year!

Mr. J has reached out to those of you who are invited to participate in the Texas Bandmasters Association clinic on Friday, July 21st at 9:30am. That email was sent out on July 3. Whether or not you are able to attend, please make sure to fill out the RSVP form.
Things to Know
INSPECTIONS
Each week before loading to depart for a game or a competition, SLT meet with their sections and conduct a uniform and equipment inspection. Items required to pass inspection are included in each week's schedule. The will also be included in future weekly newsletters.
In order to pass inspection, students must be in appropriate uniform as it will be listed in the schedule.
If a student fails inspection, the directors may determine that the student will not be allowed to march at the game.
The most common forgotten items that causes students to fail inspection are marching shoes and black socks!
Parents will be invoiced for items that students do not have and that they "buy" from the Uniform Closet (socks, etc)
Q: What do the meal plans include?
A: Meal plans are purchased from various fast food restaurants, and consist of an entrée, chips, fruit, cookie, and bottled water. Substitutions for vegetarian, vegan, and special dietary restrictions will be made.
Q: If I do not purchase the meal plans, what options does my student have?
A: They can bring their lunch.

Subscribe to Fly a Flag!
Support the Johnson Band and Guard by signing up TODAY for the Fly A Flag Program! For $52 per year, we will place a 3' x 5' flag in your yard 5 times a year for patriotic holidays. Blocks with multiple flags look fantastic so share with your neighbors!

Interested in helping to install and remove flags 5 times a year? This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone who needs flexibility. Our goal is to provide volunteers with a route that will take around an hour (10-15 flags), and once you are familiar with your route, it will be faster.
