We've had a busy but successful start to 2023

• We're delighted to have been asked to create visual artwork for the new Oldham Diagnostic Centre. Pupils will be creating artwork from start to finish, a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and have their talents recognised by the public!

• The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain have been at Hathershaw College this week, delivering the 'Play the school' workshops to our students and filling our school with music. Students had the exciting opportunity to perform alongside talented musicians and listen to their phenomenal work. It was an inspiring event for staff and students, leaving many stunned by the power of music! Read (and hear) about it all here.

• A group of Year 10 and 11 students went on an evening trip to The Lowry to watch An Inspector Calls. Students had a thrilling time, experiencing the play in action.

• We held a rewards afternoon for our star pupils in year 10, to celebrate their excellent achievements so far this year. Students were presented certificates and were delighted by the sweet treats we had waiting for them! It's wonderful to see students being recognised for their hard work.

• We're proud to announce the SLT student award winners of half term 2. Well done and congratulations to Alif Ahmed, Amna Mehmood, Aleisha O'Connor, Sakina Hanif and Isa Hussain! Keep up the brilliant work!
