MINI MAVERICK MESSENGER

The Mini Maverick Messenger is our monthly PTA communication to all our wonderful Ogle Families. This is your one stop shop to find upcoming events, fundraisers, photos, volunteer opportunities, & updated information passed along from our PTA meetings. If you haven't already please join us by signing up your student(s) for our Fall Fundraiser! We will be posting updates and incentives earned by each grade level on our Ogle Families FB Page. Come check us out! If we can reach our overall goal of $20K not only will Mr McCarty get slimed, but we will be able to purchase NEW SOCCER GOALS OR A GAGA BALL PIT for Ogle!! This is SO exciting, please come be a part of the fun and help us reach great incentives along the way!

As of 10/5 we officially have a COLOR RUN as we have reached over $6K in donations! GO OGLE!!

We appreciate everyone who joined us at our Handel's Ice Cream Spirit Night! On September 13th our community came out to enjoy ice cream, visit with Mr. McCarty, and support Ogle. We are so grateful to Handel's for providing 30% of their sales back to Ogle helping us earn $214.69! Please enjoy photos from a few families at the event below!

Our PTA appreciates every volunteer who assists our community, and as a small thank you we will be announcing a volunteer each month who will be awarded with a special thank you. You can view open volunteering opportunities and how to sign up with Voly below!

If you signed up previously, please note that a new background check must be completed each school year as required by Frisco ISD!

We are excited to share with you that Opportunities to Volunteer at our Ogle Campus are now posted in Voly (our volunteer management system,) along with the descriptions and date/times needed.

1. Library Volunteers: Assisting Mrs. Bevers by checking books, labeling, organizing, and restocking shelves

2. Work Room Volunteers: Supporting our teachers by helping with lamination, cutting, sorting, stapling, etc. *All materials provided and younger siblings are welcome to join*

3. Lunch Room Helpers: Providing additional monitoring of students and assisting with various tasks in the lunchroom alongside a teacher

4. Watch D.O.G.S. (any male figure (or female!)): Spend the day on campus volunteering with your student & helping in your child's classroom

**NEW** 5. Ogle Health Screening Assistance: Assist Nurse A with organizing and directing students to/from class while she performs their health screenings *Shifts are 2 hours*

**NEW** 6. Book Fair Helpers: Providing help with any or all of the following - setup and takedown of the fair, directing students to/from class, & helping with book selections *$10 Volunteer Incentives will be provided for the Book Fair, one voucher per volunteer*
