Windermere Weekly Update
February 26 - March 1
Austin Regional Science Fair
Wow! To say I'm a proud principal would be an understatement! These students worked so hard and spent A LOT of their weekend in downtown Austin. Thank you to the parents for supporting your children and a VERY SPECIAL thank you to 5th Grade Math/Science teacher, Ms. Angie Andresen who coordinated the science fair for Windermere and also led the effort in coordinating students going to the regional fair. She spent many hours making sure parents had all the information and that students were prepared for the event. Thanks, Ms. Andresen!

Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them on their journey to becoming lifelong readers. AND—as always—every purchase at the Fair benefits our school.
Here’s what you need to know about the big event:
When: March 1- March 8
Where: WES Library
Say goodbye to cash and hello to eWallet—your child’s digital payment account. Before the Fair, set up eWallet for worry-free, cash-free purchases. Anyone can contribute! Share each child’s eWallet so friends and family can add funds and give your kids more books to enjoy.
If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Book Fair online. All orders ship directly to your home, and shipping is free for book orders over $25. Every online purchase will also benefit our school.

Illness Reminders
Also, if your child is experiencing any of these things, please don't send them to school. We know it's hard when you have to go to work, but we are seeing a major uptick in Covid, Strep and Flu. If your child is running a fever, please don't give them medicine and send them to school as they are still potentially contagious. Upon their return, make sure to send a doctor's or parent note and that will be taken into consideration when looking at absences.
