The weather has been up and down over the past month, so why not have a beach party in ProvKIDS Preschool for the month of January!

But it's not all sandcastles and sun. Jesus spent a great deal of time on or near the beach. In fact, He performed MANY miracles near the water. This is where our kids will be learning that Jesus can do ANYTHING by learning about a few of the many miracles that Jesus performed. Jesus is God’s Son, He can do anything! Nothing is impossible for our God!

When you go into your child’s room this month, say, “Good morning! Who’s ready to have a great day? I’m ready to have a great day! A great day is possible because with God, all things are possible!”

Materials: blue jello, teddy graham, clear plastic cup

Make jello according to directions and fill plastic cup

Once jello has chilled, add a teddy graham to the top to represent Jesus walking on the water.

Read the following bible passages while eating this walking on water snack!

Matthew 14: 22-32

Remind your child only Jesus can walk on water! Who can do anything? (Jesus can do anything)

As you drive or take a walk on a sunny day, point out objects and ask your child what those objects can do.

“There’s a traffic light. What can they do? (Tell us to stop and go.)

There’s a big truck. What can it do? (Carry lots of stuff.)”

Occasionally, ask your child, “Who can do ANYTHING?" (Jesus can do anything!)

When taking a bath retell the story of Jesus and the fisherman. Give your child a cut up pool noodle and plastic fish and see tell the story while they are fishing.

“Dear God, sometimes my faith is small and I forget that with You, all things are possible. You sent Your very own Son, Jesus, to be our friend forever. Jesus is with us, and He can do anything! Please help my faith be as big as what I believe. I love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
