HES Holiday Bazaar Volunteers Needed!
The Harwich Elementary School Holiday Bazaar will be held Saturday, December 2 from 9am-12pm. High school and middle school student volunteers are needed as face painters, shopping helpers, and gift wrappers.

- Congrats to Gareth Vos on being eligible for the state championship cross-country race. Gareth competed in the MIAA State Championships 5K on Saturday, November 18 in Division 3. He came in 66th place out of 189 runners, with a time of 17:56! Gareth runs for his teammates and his school. He's been an amazing captain with Annalise for the Monomoy Cross Country team. - Mrs. Casey

Happy Thanksgiving from the Young Men's Club
The Young "Men's" Club would like to wish everyone a safe and restful vacation! Enjoy photos from their pre-Thanksgiving meal where the young men learned how to carve a turkey!
Interact Club Makes a Difference
- Monomoy Interact Club brought 8 large bags of warm clothing donations and toiletry items to the Youth Street Reach event on Friday night. Thank you to all the families and staff who donated! We will be having another drive in January and help to serve breakfast to over 100 homeless clients who attend. So proud of these great kids!

COLLEGE PLANNING: FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION
2024-2025 FASFA
The FAFSA is expected to open at the end of December. Families and students can apply for a FSA ID and should do so soon. Please adhere to all the financial aid deadlines that are listed for each college as each school has specific deadlines and requirements.
Below is a list of steps necessary to complete your 2024-2025 FASFA!

Parenting Support Group
The Director of Youth and Family Services in Harwich, Ashley Symington is starting a new parenting support group: Parenting BIG Feelings. It will take place at The 204 and is open to all. They will be once a month until May - skipping December and February.

Therapeutic Teen Group: "While You are Waiting"
The Director of Youth and Family Services in Harwich, Ashley Symington is running a therapeutic group for Harwich Residents (Teers), called “While You are Waiting” to help support young people who are in the process of looking for therapists but have not yet gotten connected. If you’d like more information, Ashley can be reached by email at: ashley.symington@harwich-ma.gov

Fall Sports Awards
The Fall Sports Awards Night was on Monday, November 20th in the MRHS auditorium. We celebrated the many successes of our fall sports season.
- Field Hockey was recognized for their amazing run in the Division 4 State Tournament, third consecutive Final Four appearance, and first ever appearance in the State Final!
- Boys Soccer was recognized for their amazing run in the Division 4 State Tournament their first Final Four appearance and first appearance in the State Final in school history!
- Field Hockey was recognized for their Cape and Islands League Atlantic Division Championship!
- Ryan Laramee was awarded the Boys Soccer Cape and Islands League Maritime Division MVP!
- Girls Volleyball was awarded the Cape and Islands League Sportsmanship Award!
- Football was awarded the Cape and Islands League Sportsmanship Award!
- Congratulations to Gareth Vos on representing Monomoy at the All State Cross Country meet!
The following student athletes were Cape and Islands League All Stars:

High School Winter Sports
Practices and tryouts begin on Monday, November 27
All players and their parents/caretakers must have attended the 'Meet the Winter Coaches Night' on Monday, November 13th. In order to be eligible to participate on day one of tryouts/practices all student-athletes must:
- Register on Arbiter Registration formerly Family ID
- Have an updated physical into the school nurse or our Athletic Trainer Taylor Murray
- Have an up to date ImPACT Test with Taylor Murray
- Complete the free online Concussion in Sports course at nfhslearn.com and submit the certificate to Taylor Murray
- Complete the free online Implicit Bias course at nfhslearn.com and submit the certificate to Taylor Murray
- Submit the pre-participation head injury form to Taylor Murray
