School Cafeteria Update
As shared on all our menus, the menu is subject to change and determined by what products we are able to get from our vendors. We are currently experiencing the following challenges:
- There is a shortage of chocolate milk due to a manufacturing issue with the milk cartons.
- The cafeterias are also still experiencing some supply chain issues due to manufacturing shortages, and food industry transportation, and delivery challenges.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership in nourishing our students.
The Metzger Pony Espresso, a roving beverage and snack cart for our staff members, is going to be up and rolling very soon! The Pony Espresso cart will have coffee, tea, and sparkling waters as well as various snacks for our wonderful staff members. Metzger students and Mrs. Hedges will be delivering these treats to staff as another way to show appreciation for their hard work! If you would like to donate any beverages or food items for the Metzger Pony Espresso we would happily accept them! We love our after school clubs and we're excited for this winter session, but we need some help with snack donations. Currently, we are providing a snack for every student in a club each day. We use some funds to help with scholarships too. We would love any healthy snack donations, especially fresh fruit on Mondays & Tuesdays for the week (we can't accept fresh fruit past Wednesday to hold over the weekends). Snack suggestions for items in individual bags/wrappers: dried fruit, pretzels, goldfish crackers, popcorn, veggie straws, fruit leathers. Thank you so much for your support!

Next month, Metzger is having a Family Math Night on Pi Day, March 14th! Come by anytime from 5-7pm to eat pizza and pie, and do some really fun math activities! See what the Tigard High School Robotics team is working on and drive some robots! Play fun games and win prizes! There will be hands-on activities for the whole family, all ages welcome.
