Midpoint of the School Year
Dear Atholton Families,
Just a reminder that there is no school for students tomorrow, Monday, January 24.
We have reached the midpoint of our school year as the second semester begins this week. For those students with semester courses, they will transition to their new class on Tuesday. The third quarter will begin for our full-year courses. By this point, both students and parents should be aware of the expectations of teachers and what is expected to be successful. As there are no HCPSS designated conference days for high schools for the remainder of the year, I encourage you to reach out to teachers with any questions you may have regarding your child’s progress.
I am thrilled to report that after two very long years, the Atholton High School Dance Department will hold a concert this week! Our dancers will finally be taking the stage and are beyond excited! Happily Ever After (the theme of the concert) will be performed Friday 1/28 @ 7 pm and Saturday 1/29 @ 3 pm &7 pm. We are using an online ticketing system AND we are ONLY ALLOWED to have the auditorium at 50% capacity. If you would like to attend, get your tickets FAST!! The link for tickets is: Online Box Office (booktix.com). We hope to see you there!
Lastly, the HCPSS Summer School online enrollment will open Tuesday, February 1 at 6 p.m. and remain open through Tuesday, February 15 at 6 p.m. They will open registration back up each month. Program descriptions, dates, times, and locations will be located HERE. Spots will fill up fast so don't delay! If you have any questions, contact your school counselor.
Wishing everyone a fantastic upcoming week!
Warmest regards,
Robert A. Motley
