Message from Nurse Kayla
- You will need to pick up your student's medication on or before May 22nd. Please come through the office during school hours and check them out.
- If your student has daily medication, feel free to leave just enough for the last few days/weeks and take the rest home.
- If your student has an as needed emergency medication that they often need or you think they will need through the last day (ie inhalers, etc), feel free to leave it, but pick it up no later than 2:40pm on Wednesday May 22nd.
- Any medication left after 2:40pm on May 22nd will be disposed of by the YPS nurses as we cannot legally leave any medication in the school over the summer.
- We cannot send medications home with your student per YPS policies.
Message From Mr. Summers
Happy MAY Lakeview Families!
I can't believe we are so close to the end of the school year! There are only 14 days left! We have a lot of fun stuff planned - field trips, dodgeball tournament, awards assemblies, etc. We have been reminding students that their behavior and their actions could result in them missing out on some of these really fun opportunities!
You should be extremely proud of all of our students for running through the full gauntlet of state testing these last several weeks. We have now completed all of our BIG GROUPS for state testing, however, we will continue to have small groups and makeups for the next couple of weeks! We want to get all of our students tested so we can move on to the end of year fun stuff! Thank you for all of the support you have shown us throughout this school year. We are really looking forward to Summer but we will miss our students terribly - but the good news is that next school year will be here before we know it! Please read through the calendar and the graphics for more information on all of the fun stuff coming up! We're going to make these last few weeks of school GREAT!
A few Spring Reminders:
-With the warmer weather, please make sure that students are following our district dress code before they come to school!
-Students are only to have WATER in their water bottles - please no soda, juice, redbull, etc. They can really make messes and get sticky when they spill.
-Please be sure you are talking with your students about respecting property and our school building, Spring Fever hits around this time and we tend to see more behaviors around the building!
Here are some Arrival/Dismissal reminders!
-There are three lanes in the parking lot for arrival: Outside lane (closest to parking spots), middle lane, and inside lane (closest to the curb)
-The middle lane is for thru-traffic only - there is no getting out of or getting in to cars in the middle lane
-Students arriving in the outside lane need to exit their vehicle on the driver's side so they aren't exiting the vehicle into the middle lane
-Students arriving in the inside lane need to exit their vehicle on the passenger side, straight onto the sidewalk!
-After the crosswalk, cars need to "zipper merge" to ensure efficient and safe exiting of the parking lot

Parking Lot Reminder From Principal Summers
Please remember that students are only to be dropped off from the inside and outside lanes between the main entrance flagpole and the gym entrance. Students should only be picked up from the same lanes between the playground and the gym entrance at their pod pick up zone. This is to maintain a smooth and efficient flow in the parking lot, and to ensure student safety.
Neighboring businesses do not like cars taking space in their lots and students are not to be dropped off on the east side of the lot or the south side of the school. Thank you for following our procedures and modeling for your child that following directions is important,
Breakfast and Lunch
