Greetings, Families!

We had a fantastic field day thanks to Mrs. LaRoe, Mrs. Johnson, our field day committee, and PTA chair Mrs. Bradley, along with ALL of the parent volunteers that gave of their time to make the very HOT day a success for our students! We say it time and time again, but we could not do what we do without our parent and community support.

This week our teachers shared these pictures with students to hopefully send items home, but not many students identified items that belonged to them. Please review the UPDATED pictures linked below and email Ms. Davis at edavis@sd25.org with the picture number and item description. We will return all items next week. All items remaining after June 9th will be donated to a local organization.

OMS Summer Office Hours

Our office will be closed at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 14th for summer vacation. We will reopen Wednesday, July 26th. If you need to stop in before June 14th please call ahead to make sure we are available.

Summer Reading!

Reading over the summer is a fun activity that provides entertainment as well as growth in reading skills for students. The District 25 library media center directors have put together lists of recommended books for various grade levels. Families are invited to visit the OMS LMC website’s Summer Reading page to download a copy of the book lists for grades K-2 and grades 3-5. Also included on the site are slideshows which tell more about the books and link to book trailer videos and author talks.

The Arlington Heights Memorial Library will be running a summer reading program from June 1-July 31. Visit their summer reading website to learn more about it. Click the link to watch a video introduction of their program.
