It's Teacher Appreciation Week beginning on Monday. Please take a moment to review the daily events. Our teachers are amazing as you know. Please consider writing them notes and picking a flower from your garden for them. Lots of great ways to celebrate them. We have provided a list of daily ideas for you as a guide to show your teachers some love. Coffee with the Principal/Counselor is this Thursday at 8:30 am. We'd love to see you in person or you can join via Zoom using this link.
This week's background features the flyer for Teacher Appreciation Week.
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or compliments, please reach out to Mr. Fineberg, our principal, at efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

Principal's Message...
This Thursday at 8:30 am is our final Principal/Counselor Coffee. Please join me and Mrs. Wijnhamer along with our Mental Health Professionals (Mrs. Bullock K-8 and Ms. Skomsvold (9-12) at the High School site or via Zoom. Read more below to learn about the topics we will be discussing.
As we head to the homestretch, it's important that we reflect on the progress made and to finish strong. Here are four strategies for ending the year successfully:
Set realistic goals: Encourage students to set achievable goals for themselves before the end of the year. This will help them stay focused and motivated during the final weeks of school.
Stay organized: Make sure students have all the necessary materials and resources to complete their work. Encourage them to keep their workspace tidy and to use calendars and planners to stay on top of their work.
Stay positive: Remind students to stay positive and to focus on their successes rather than their failures. Encourage them to take breaks when needed and to engage in self-care activities.
Celebrate achievements: Finally, celebrate the achievements of your students as the year comes to a close.
By incorporating these strategies, students can finish the year on a high note and feel a sense of accomplishment as they move on to the next chapter in their academic journey.
Lastly, parents if you haven't done so already please take a moment to complete the 2022-23 Tustin Connect Annual Evaluation Report for Alternative Schools/Programs of Choice Survey. This is a state mandated survey because our program is classified as an Alternative School. Students and teachers will be completing the survey as well prior to the end of the year. We report total scores only.
As always, if you have any questions, compliments, ideas, and/or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out at (714) 430-2052 ext. 52103 or efineberg@tustin.k12.ca.us.

8th grade promotion: We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th graders on May 25th at 6 pm at the K-8 campus. Students will need to bring their devices with them as well to check them in. For the ceremony, students should wear formal attire. Collard shirts and pants, dress shoes or newer sneakers. For those wearing a dress or skirt, be sure it goes beyond your fingertips. It is typically cold out, and we are outside so be sure to have a sweater/jacket. The ceremony is on blacktop so if wearing heals, you'll want a stable heal.
