Accounting Day of Learning
On April 27, 12 Accounting 2 students participated in the Accounting Day of Learning and Case Competition put on by the Iowa Society of CPAs (ISCPA) and took place at RSM downtown. We had 3 teams work for 3 hours to put together a presentation on a solution to the case they worked on. Our very own Johnston Team #3 had the winning presentation and will receive a trophy and will each get a $25 Amazon gift card prize. The students from this team were Krish Gupta, Josh Derkenne, Owen Martin and Edison Muhamedagic. Other schools that participated were Norwalk and Des Moines.
The students got a tour of RSM, listened to a presentation, and ate lunch with CPAs to learn what it was like to have a career in accounting.
